P. Natalensis, commonly known as Natal Super Strain, is an exotic species orginally found in the Natal region of South Africa. Genetically, it is very similar to the cubensis species. The two species look very similar, though there are distinct differences between them due to their alkaloid profiles.

Natalensis mushrooms are more potent than cubensis mushrooms, as they are often reported to be 1.5 - 2x stronger than traditional mushrooms on average. They are associated with strong visuals, an ultra-smooth transition into the altered state, and experiences that are blissful and euphoric. Compared to cubensis mushrooms, they produce less of the body load that can often accompany early phases of a journey. Many users report that Natalensis mushrooms lack the darker edge that can sometimes be seen and felt on cubensis journeys, which will likely make them a popular choice for beginner and advanced psychonauts moving forward.
